Dear Supporter,

I hope everyone enjoyed our Independence Day and participated in the many festivities in our area. I had a great time meeting so many people at the River Hill parade - thanks to everyone who wished me well.

I would like to take a few minutes to let you know what has been going on with my campaign and where it is headed now that the primary election is only 60 days away! September 12th is the critical date and I need everyone to go to the polls and Vote! I have received several key endorsements and expect more to follow. Also, you can now donate to my campaign on-line through a secure server. And t- shirts, bumperstickers and yard signs are now available - if you would like any of the above, please let me know.

If you would like to contact me - please feel free to call or send an email. I look forward to hearing from you.
 Graduation!
George Washington University Law School - May 21st

graduationWell, three years passed by in the blink of an eye and now I can't believe that I am a "graduate." Law School was challenging, overwhelming but most of all, inspirational. But I don't have too much time to sit back and reflect since the Bar Exam is only three weeks away!

I will sit for the Maryland Bar July 25th & 26th. It's a two day exam and the results will be known in November (Nothing like keeping us on the edge of our seats as we await results, right?) But I have been studying for the exam for nearly two months now, so I feel prepared and still have a few weeks to get everything in order.

Please understand that the week before the exam, I will have limited office hours and will not be campaigning full time in anticipation of the time requirements for studying. I will however, be attending the GOP Candidate forum scheduled for July 20th. Place is still TBA - more info as I get it.

Getting Ready for the Howard County Fair
 August 5-12, 2006

Melissa service adThe Howard County Fair is right around the corner and will be here before we know it! I will have a large exhibit in the Main Exhibit Hall all week. I will also have popcorn and a prize wheel - so please visit and learn about the leadership and skills I will take to Annapolis as your Delegate!

If you would like to volunteer at the booth, please let me know. I will be there every day and would love the company! Just call or send me an email. I will provide entry and parking passes for all volunteers as well as a campaign shirt.

Lastly, the Annual 4-H auction has been moved from its traditional Wednesday evening time to Friday, August 11th. Please come support our 4-H'ers and their projects. It's great fun and they are the best products you can buy anywhere! For more information, please visit the Howard County Fair website below.

Thanks for visiting my website and signing up for my Newsletter. As the election nears, I will need as much support as possible to reach out to the community. Please consider volunteering; either by actively helping with the campaign, fundraising, hosting a "coffee" in your community or by donating. I know we can be successful in this election and I thank you for your support! Yard Signs are now available for delivery - just let me know how many you need.

Have a Great Maryland Day!
