I would like to take a few minutes to let you know what has been going on with my campaign and where it is headed now that the primary election is only 45 days away! September 12th is the critical date and I need everyone to go to the polls and Vote! If you are not registered to vote - you have until August 22nd to submit your application. I will have applications for you at the Howard County Fair and you can register right on the spot! 

I have received several key endorsements and expect more to follow. I have received endorsements from the Howard County Police Officer's Association, the Maryland State Teacher's Association, the Howard County Educator's Association, and the Women Under Forty Political Action Committee. Join the Winning Team and Help elect Melissa as YOUR representative in Annapolis. 

Also, you can now donate to my campaign on-line through a secure server. And t-shirts, bumper stickers and yard signs are now available - if you would like any of the above, please let me know. We will deliver the yard signs right to your lawn! 

Endorsements!  Melissa's experience and qualifications recognized  Melissa has recently been endorsed by several major associations for her bid as Delegate for District 9A. The Howard County Police Officer's Association has given Melissa their endorsement. As a Military Police Officer, Melissa commanded the Law Enforcement Company at Fort Bragg, NC for nearly 2 years. She understands their mission and the need for qualified, well trained and educated officers to protect our communities. Melissa also understands the retention efforts to keep these officers and the quality of life programs we should institute to retain them.  Melissa has also been endorsed by both the Maryland State Teacher's Association and the Howard County Teacher's Association. After a long interview process, Melissa was selected based on her unqualified support for our public education system here in Howard County and her support for the retention of our best teachers.  The Women Under Forty Political Action Committee has also endorsed Melissa's candidacy to help elect young women into elected offices.    Howard County Police Officer's Association

Howard County Fair - August 5-12, 2006   PARADES!!  The Howard County Fair is right around the corner and will be here before we know it! I will have a large exhibit in the Main Exhibit Hall all week. I will also have popcorn and many giveaways- so please visit and learn about the leadership and skills I will take to Annapolis as your Delegate!  If you would like to volunteer at the booth, please let me know. I will be there every day and would love the company! Just call or send me an email. I will provide entry and parking passes for all volunteers as well as a campaign shirt. Also, we will be walking in the Parade on Saturday August 12th at 4PM. If you would like to join us, let us know! Kids love to be in parades! We will also we riding in the Mount Gregory Parade in Cooksville earlier that morning. If you would like more information about the annual Mt Gregory Parade, call us!  Lastly, the Annual 4-H auction has been moved from its traditional Wednesday evening time to Friday, August 11th. Please come support our 4-H'ers and their projects. It's great fun and they are the best products you can buy anywhere!
