Dear Supporter,

Welcome to my Newsletter! I appreciate your visit to my website and I hope I can count on your support throughout the campaign season this year.

I will be sending out newsletters every 2-3 weeks and more often as the election draws near. If you have news or events that you would like me to mention, please send them to me and I will see what I can do.

If you have thoughts or ideas about this newsletter or any aspect of my campaign, I would love to hear from you! Great ideas are always welcome here!
 BREAK THE SLATE 2006!

My campaign theme this year is "Break the Slate 2006." This refers to the current incumbents who will ask you to vote for them as a "package deal" instead of evaluating each one individually on their own merits. When voting, citizens should ask "What skills, experience or ideas will this candidate bring to the office that is unique?" and "Why does this person deserve my vote?"

The practice of slate voting robs voters of choice. They don't get the opportunity to hear from each and every candidate on why they deserve to serve the district. And candidates shouldn't get a free pass to Annapolis because they were appointed by a committee.

So, with your help, together we can BREAK THE SLATE IN 2006!!

 Campaign Kickoff Announcement
 March 6th, 7 AM

Please join me Monday morning as I officially kick off my campaign with a public announcement at the Forest Diner on Route 40. I know people are busy so please join me for Breakfast, get your day off to a great start and support my campaign. Please see my website for more information.

 Maryland Trivia

An Acorn tops the State House Capital Dome?
(Ironically, the Acorn was installed upside down!)

Maryland is the only state with an official state sport – Jousting (enacted 1962)

Route 40, The National Road, was the first federally funded road in America.

Thanks for visiting my website and signing up for my Newsletter. As the campaign draws closer, I will need as much support as possible to reach out to the community. Please consider volunteering; either by actively helping with the campaign, fundraising, hosting a "coffee" in your community or by donating. I know we can be successful in this election and I thank you for your support!

Have a Great Maryland Day!
